Lazear Capital Discusses Employee Stock Ownership Plans
Garrett and Jamerino explain in simple terms what ESOPs are, why they are continuing to gain momentum, and what’s in it for both business owners and employees.
Lazear Capital specializes in sell-side transactions with a focus on ESOPs for companies across the United States. In the last 12 months, Lazear has closed more than $2 billion in ESOP transactions across 34 companies. They're also well-known in the construction industry. "Probably over 50 percent of the transactions we do on an annual basis are with contractors," explained Garrett.
Business owners who are considering retirement or transitioning their companies in the next three to five years should pay particular attention to this episode.
