SPARK Business Works Discusses Trends in Technology and How It's Impacting Construction
Bloomfield Hills, MI (September 30, 2021) – Episode #5 of the Construction Association of Michigan’s “Building Michigan” podcast series features Bob Armbrister, President and CEO of SPARK Business Works and Brad Wilson, Vice President and Director of Marketing for SPARK. Together with CAM President Kevin Koehler, they discuss the ways in which the pandemic accelerated the construction industry's adoption of technology and how that is impacting everyone's bottom line.
SPARK Business Works was created by Bob Armbrister, who started his career as the IT Director for CSM Group. He found himself working collaboratively with subcontractors and assisting them with adoption of technology. It quickly became evident that there was a great need in the industry and, with Bob's experience and skill, SPARK was born. In the last few years, it has grown from a 5 person operation to employing more than 50 people and was recently selected for the 2021 INC. 5000 fastest growing private companies in America list and recognized by CIO Review as a TOP 20 Construction Technology Firm.
Bob and Brad utilized their lessons learned during the pandemic to build a foolproof plan for quickly implementing new technology and engaging early adopters. They have built dozens of custom applications to assist construction firms with recording time, maintaining inventory, and tracking hours of equipment use.
